These jewelry chests are simply the finest quality available, carefully constructed and assembled by expert craftsmen at American Chest Company in the northeastern USA, as they have been for over 100 years. They hand sand only the finest North American cherry hardwood, apply rich hand-rubbed finishes, detail them with plush suede linings, and inspect every chest to the most exacting standards.
 
There are plenty of cheaper imported jewelry chests and cases available but most are manufactured using veneered fiberboard, plywood, or other materials in a high humidity environment that will dry out, craze, warp, or come apart after arriving in North America. Although perhaps similar in design or function, they simply will not last.
